The Comanche Flyer Foundation Announces 2026 Pilot Proficiency Program in Vero Beach, Featuring Complimentary Piper Factory Tour
VERO BEACH, FL — The Comanche Flyer Foundation is pleased to announce its next Comanche Pilot Proficiency Program (CPPP) Training Event, scheduled for Friday, June 5, and Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Vero Beach Regional Airport (KVRB).
In a slight shift from the traditional Saturday–Sunday format, this year’s training will take place on Friday and Saturday to accommodate a special kickoff event.
Join us for a factory tour of the Piper manufacturing plant — for free. On Thursday, June 4, all registered CPPP attendees are invited to an exclusive, complimentary tour of the Piper Aircraft factory, offering a rare, behind-the-scenes look at how these iconic aircraft are built.
Participants can look forward to advanced, Comanche-specific maintenance training alongside targeted flight instruction. All flight instruction received during the event can be applied toward attendees' FAA Flight Review (BFR) requirements.
This unique weekend combines hands-on learning, expert instruction, and an inside look at aircraft manufacturing—making it an exceptional opportunity for Comanche owners and pilots.

PILOT EDUCATION
Our program covers a wide variety of information and skills you need to know to be a proficient Comanche pilot, from fundamental principles to advanced flight maneuvers and emergency procedures.
BI-ANNUAL FLIGHT REVIEWS
In addition to best practices for flying your Comanche, this training will also count towards your FAA required Bi-Annual Flight Review.
AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE
Learn the basics of aircraft maintenance and gain insightful experience in ensuring the airworthiness of different aircraft components, equipping you with valuable knowledge to be an informed owner of a Comanche.
